Dr. Smith earned his medical degree from University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. He completed his general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship at Orlando Health. He is board certified in general surgery, surgical critical care and neuro critical care. Dr. Smith oversees the department’s weekly Basic Science curriculum as well as manages all the Surgical Critical Care fellowship’s conferences. His surgical interests include general surgery, robotic surgery, emergency surgery, and the care of the acutely ill and injured.
