Virtual Extended Care is Orlando Health’s new and improved virtual care service, launching in early 2026. It replaces our previous virtual care platform and brings on-demand medical care directly into our fully integrated medical record system.
This upgraded experience allows you to receive timely virtual care from expert physicians who work in close coordination with your Orlando Health care team.
Your care works best when all your providers have access to the same information. Virtual Extended Care connects directly to our medical record system, allowing your on-demand provider to review important medical history while ensuring your Orlando Health physicians can immediately see notes from your virtual visit.
This creates a more connected, convenient and coordinated care experience without the need to repeat medication, allergy or past medical details.
You can receive care for a range of minor medical conditions, including:
- Sinus infections
- Urinary symptoms
- Cold and flu
- Sore throat
- Pink eye
- Rashes and skin concerns
- Other routine, nonemergency conditions

Once in MyChart®, you can request a video visit and will receive a notification when your appointment is ready. If a MyChart® account cannot be created, you will be guided to an alternate secure link so you can still receive care.
Virtual Extended Care will be available starting January 6, 2026, offering access to care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in all 50 states. Our current virtual care service will remain available through February 1, 2026, to ensure a smooth transition.
Yes. After your visit, a summary of your care, including instructions and next steps, will be automatically added to your MyChart® account for easy reference.
No. For employees and dependents covered under the Orlando Health Virtual Extended Care benefit, your cost will remain the same.
