Orlando Health Hospital Care at Home
Orlando Health Hospital Care at Home is an innovative home-based clinical service designed for patients who require inpatient care, but through technology and a specially designed program, can receive the same hospital-level care from the comfort of their own home and with their family or friends. We are proud to be the first healthcare system in Central Florida to bring this program to our patients and offer alternative options to inpatient care when medically appropriate.
How Does it Work?
Unlike traditional inpatient hospital care, this program provides care for patients in their own home through the following ways:
- 24/7 virtual care and remote vital signs monitoring
- In-person provider and nursing care
- Medication management, including IV fluids
- Additional services as needed including physical therapies, lab testing, meals and nutrition, mobile imaging, and specialty consultations.
The most common medical conditions most suitable for hospital care at home services include cellulitis, COPD, heart failure, asthma, UTIs, COVID-19, pneumonia, and gastroenteritis.
