Alexander Veletsos, Ed.D., CHCIO

Vice President and Regional Chief Information Officer, Florida and Puerto Rico

Alexander “Alex” Veletsos serves as vice president and regional chief information officer (CIO) for Orlando Health’s East Region, comprising Florida and Puerto Rico, where he leads information technology and clinical engineering strategies.

Before joining Orlando Health in 2020, Alex served as vice president and chief information officer for Ascension Health Michigan and Together Health Network, a statewide clinically integrated network focused on population health management.

Alex earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and legal studies from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, an MBA and MA from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, and a doctorate in organizational leadership from Sarasota University in Florida. He also completed the Ascension/Harvard Leadership Direct Program and is a certified healthcare CIO through the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.
