To Interested Volunteers:

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Orlando Health – St. Cloud Hospital

Volunteers are integral to our hospital and contribute significantly to our mission of enhancing the health and quality of life of our patients, their families, and the community.

Please take a moment to review the information below before proceeding with the application process.

Applicant Requirements

  • Able to communicate well in English.
  • Maintain reliable transportation to and from the hospital.
  • Adult Volunteers must be 18 years of age and graduated from high school or equivalent.
  • Teen Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and currently enrolled in high school with a minimum of 3.0 GPA.

Please be aware that we do not accept applications for court ordered community service hours.

Program Requirements

  • Adult Volunteers must commit to volunteering four (4) hours on the same day each week, for a period of at least six (6) months.
  • Teen Volunteers must commit to volunteering four (4) hours on the same day each week, for a period of at least three (3) months.

Screening Requirement

Comprehensive testing, training and orientation are provided for each of our applicants. As a result, we require a significant commitment from our volunteers.

To become part of our team, we ask the following:

  • Accurately complete the entire application.
  • Provide a valid Social Security number.
  • Submit to a Criminal Background Check - Adults only.
  • Submit to an in-person interview with the Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Visit our Occupational Health Office, at no cost to you, for TB and drug screening.
  • Attend a 3-hour orientation session.

Processing time for applications can take approximately 3-5 weeks.

Once your application has been processed, a member from our team will contact you to arrange an appointment for an in-person interview.

At that time, we will discuss an assignment that will be fulfilling and meet the needs of our patients and their families.
