Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. Volunteers are integral to our institute and contribute significantly to our mission of enhancing the health and quality of life of our patients, their families, and the community. With your help, we can continue to curate a personalized patient experience by fostering authentic connections.

Applicant Requirements
- Able to communicate well in English.
- Maintain reliable transportation to and from the hospital.
- Must be 18 years of age and have graduated from high school or equivalent.
Program Requirements
- Volunteers must commit to volunteering four (4) hours on the same day each week, for a period of at least six (6) months.
Screening Requirement
Comprehensive testing, training and orientation are provided for each of our applicants. As a result, we require a significant commitment from our volunteers. To become part of our team, we ask the following:
- Complete the entire application including complete e-mail addresses for 3 references. One reference should be professional.
- Attend a 3-hour orientation session.
- Provide a valid Social Security number
- Submit to a Criminal Background Check
- Submit to an in-person interview with the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Visit our Occupational Health Office, at no cost to you, for TB and drug screening.
Processing time for applications can take approximately 2-3 weeks. Once your application has been processed, a member from our team will contact you to arrange an appointment for an in-person interview.
At that time, we will discuss an assignment that will be fulfilling and meet the needs of our patients and their families.
