About Our Program @accordionTitleTag.Name>
As a nurse enrolled in the Orlando Health RN Residency Program, you can expect to take advantage of diverse offerings designed with one goal in mind: your success.
- Graduate Nurse Coordinators are available at each Orlando Health site to support you throughout the Orlando Health RN Residency Program. These highly engaged and knowledgeable professionals are a vital resource to help you navigate your first year. They serve as both your leaders and mentors and will provide individualized attention to nurture your growth, both clinically and professionally.
- As an Orlando Health team member, you are eligible to participate in the Orlando Health Mentoring Program, which pairs you with a mentor to receive additional support, guidance and tools to be successful. Please ask your learning specialist for more information regarding this opportunity.
- You will gather with other nurse residents at your clinical site to participate in monthly transition courses. During these prescheduled days, you will be provided with additional clinical and professional learning experiences facilitated by your Graduate Nurse Site Coordinator or designee.
- The course provides an opportunity to network and learn about different areas of the hospital or your clinical site.
- The corporate RN Residency Learning Consultant – who serves as your ANCC/PTAP Program Director – oversees the curriculum and is available at each session as an additional resource for you.
- Simulation provides a safe and confidential learning environment and is part of your unit-based, core concept courses which are designed to increase your confidence in managing patient care.
- The simulation educators, learning consultants and learning specialists will guide your learning and skill acquisition.
- The Orlando Health Simulation Lab is accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
