Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital names chief nursing officer

Orlando, FL (October 16, 2023) Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital has named Faye Collins as its chief nursing officer.

“With more than two decades of patient care experience, Faye will provide leadership for clinical activities, processes and policies that support high-quality patient care for nursing and other clinical teams,” said Brian Wetzel, president, Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital. “As an experienced collaborative leader, Faye is committed to delivering exceptional high-quality care to our patients and connecting with our physicians and team members.”

Ms. Collins came to Orlando Health from Banner – University Medical Centers Tucson, acute care teaching hospitals affiliated with the University of Arizona, where she served as associate chief nursing officer.

She has held progressive leadership roles for health systems in Maine, Texas, Florida, South Carolina and Wisconsin. Ms. Collins has extensive experience leading teams in Magnet-designated hospitals and both Level One and Level Three Trauma Centers. She has also served as a leader for adult, pediatric, psychiatric and emergency service lines.

Ms. Collins earned a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama and an Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association and American Organization of Nurse Leaders. Ms. Collins is also an advanced certified nurse executive by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has published and presented nationally on the topics of patient safety, improving workflow and nursing satisfaction.

Ms. Collins began her new role on October 16, 2023.
