ORLANDO, Fla. (August 22, 2019) --- The Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute recently acquired Cardiology Consultants of Orlando, expanding its continuum of care in the community. The cardiology practice joined the Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute on August 1, 2019.

Kendrix Adcock, MD, FACS, and Robert Winter, MD, FACS, from Florida Vascular Consultants to the institute’s Vascular Surgery Group. The acquisition of the practice will be effective January 2, 2020.
September 28th marked the 5th annual Walk For Winnie Presented by Panera Breadâ and hosted at SeaWorldâ Orlando. More than $131,000 was raised through online fundraising and about 2,500 people participated in the event, including many Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) graduates and their families, nurses and doctors. Over the past 5 years, we have raised more than $1,188,000 in direct proceeds to the NICU because of your support.
Orlando, FL (November 7, 2019) – Today the Ryan Seacrest Foundation announced that Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children will become home to a Seacrest Studio, a state-of-the-art broadcast media center for patients to explore the creative realms of radio, television and new media. The Seacrest Studio will be located on the first floor of the hospital, adjacent to the main atrium. The approximately 1,200-square-foot studio will be encased in glass, allowing patients and visitors to view the daily programming happening inside.
Orlando, FL (November 13, 2019) – The St. Baldrick’s Foundation awarded Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children with a $50,000 grant to ensure more patients have access to clinical trials. The hospital is one of 25 institutions in the country, and the only one in Florida, to receive funding from the organization and will use these funds to pursue additional research and advancements for cancer care.
Longwood, FL (November 20, 2019) - Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital is bringing asthma education to students at Hamilton Elementary School in Seminole County. The new initiative is called Open Airways for Schools and it aims to educate and empower kids through a fun and interactive approach to asthma self-management.
Orlando, FL (November 18, 2019) – The American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) appointed Joy Parchment, PhD, RN, system director of the Magnet program at Orlando Health, as a member of its 2020 leadership board. The organization boasts a membership of 9,800 nurse leaders from around the country and acts as a voice for nursing leadership in healthcare.
On the downtown Orlando Health campus, Kuhl Avenue will be closed from Miller Street to Lake Beauty Drive beginning December 2, 2019 for sewer pipe replacement. The project is expected to be finished on or around December 22, 2019.
