The Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute opens its new state-of-the-art facility in downtown Orlando. We are proud to welcome patients and physicians to a new facility, home to the country’s most highly regarded comprehensive digestive disease programs — including advanced endoscopy, gastroenterology, pancreatology, inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), motility and hepatology.
Here, you’ll find expansive spaces throughout, housing the Center for Advanced Endoscopy, Research and Education (CARE) and its six fully integrated endoscopy suites, leading technologies, and areas for observation and learning — all under one roof. Patients continue to have access to advanced treatments, the latest clinical trials, and artificial intelligence technologies that improve detection, prevention, research and productivity. Additionally, we’ve designed supportive environments for our dedicated team, including spacious conference rooms, clinic areas and office space for clinicians, administration, nursing and research personnel, all optimized for success.

All surgery patients receive personalized care by a dedicated patient ambassador from the moment of arrival through discharge. With a spacious waiting area where family members can wait during your procedure.
- Arrival: Remember to use our complimentary valet service and expect door-to-door attention from the front door to your pre-operative patient smart room.
- Discharge: Post-surgery, we coordinate your transportation needs and provide a to-go meal.
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Wake Without Worry
Before and after gastroenterology surgery, patients are cared for in our 15-bed PACU by a team of highly trained critical care nurses specifically trained to meet the needs of gastroenterology patients.
Our nursing staff is skilled in providing personalized attention to patients after receiving anesthesia. As part of your care, you can expect our nurses to:
- Monitor your vital signs
- Examine your surgical site
- Check and maintain intravenous fluids
- Provide any required care until discharge

Six technologically advanced procedure rooms were designed specifically for endoscopy procedures, with efficiency and open space in mind. Complete with video integration, enhanced air filtration, each intraoperative experience can be optimized for success.
- Efficiency: Unique features, such as sliding entry doors, pass-through windows and intuitive floor plans help minimize traffic and increase patient safety.
- Technology: Advanced equipment allows the procedural team to better control instruments and view high-quality images of the procedure on magnified monitors. This technology also allows us to live stream procedures to share across Orlando Health and around the world.
