Health Central Hospital Outpatient Infusion/Transfusion Services

Located inside the Surgery Center, the Outpatient Infusion Center at Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital is dedicated to the highest level of service and clinical care so that patients can heal as quickly as possible and resume their normal lives.

Our experienced team is specialized in the administration and care of IV and injectable medications. We administer any non-chemotherapy infusions/ therapy plans such as:

  • Aredia
  • B-12 injections

For Your Comfort

Our convenient and comfortable center is designed for you, the patient. We utilize only the best in medical equipment and clinical skills to ensure your comfort and care remain top priority. Recliners, cable TV, magazines and Wi-Fi are available for your convenience and comfort while receiving your treatment. You may wish to also bring music or a book to help pass the time.

Preparing For Your Infusion/Transfusion

  1. You may eat and drink and take your medication as usual, unless directed otherwise by your physician. Being hydrated is an important part of your therapy. Our center can provide box meals and snacks for patients. You may also bring your own food or beverages to your appointment.
  2. The temperature in our center can be cool at times so dress comfortably and consider bringing a blanket or sweater/light jacket.
  3. Please bring your photo ID and insurance card to each visit.
  4. We will need a list of medications at each visit to update your history form. History forms are only good for 30 days so please be prepared to complete a new one, if needed.
  5. Leave valuables and jewelry at home.
  6. Please call the center and your physician immediately if you are having any symptoms of illness. Infusions and transfusions may not be done when experiencing certain symptoms that may require treatment.
  7. If you are receiving an infusion, please call the center when you are on the way for your appointment. Some medications can take 30 minutes to two hours to be prepared in the pharmacy. We may be reached at (407) 253-2560.
