About ER/Emergency Care

The Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital ER features 24 patient rooms and provides state-of-the-art emergency care by board certified ER physicians and a highly skilled clinical team. We care for adults and children – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The emergency services we offer include:

24/7 adult and pediatric emergency care
Board certified emergency medicine physicians
Cardiac (heart) monitoring
Dedicated cardiac/respiratory resuscitation room
Diagnostic imaging including CT scan, MRI, ultrasound and X-ray
Full-service laboratory
Nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and have advanced training in trauma

For severe trauma cases, our team offers immediate air transport from our ER to Central Florida’s only Level One Trauma Center at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center or Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

When to Visit an Emergency Room

Emergency rooms are designed to handle life- or limb-threatening conditions. Visit an emergency room if you or a loved one experience:

Broken or dislocated bones
Chest pain
Deep cuts or burns
Loss of consciousness
Seizures
Serious allergic reactions
Severe trouble breathing
Trauma injuries
