Why Orlando Health ORMC: After completing undergraduate education and medical school in the Midwest, I knew I wanted to expand my horizons for the next step in my career. I interviewed in person at ORMC and it sealed the deal for me. I knew that this was a program that would prepare me to treat any patient, anytime, anywhere – regardless of where I end up practicing. ORMC offers exposure to the entire spectrum of pathology in EM; a high volume, high trauma urban setting with a diverse patient population; a community medicine program outputting confident, well- rounded residents; and a sense of community that extends far beyond the walls of the ED. I was confident enough in the training, camaraderie, and support at this program to take the leap of moving 1100 miles away for my next chapter.
