South Seminole Hospital Services

South Seminole Hospital is a 206-bed, full-service, medical/surgical community hospital located in scenic Longwood, Florida. The hospital is a part of Orlando Health and serves the residents of Seminole County, Florida. Our team is dedicated to offering quality healthcare services and programs to meet the needs of our community. We use the latest equipment, perform the most advanced medical procedures and offer prevention, wellness and community outreach services. The hospital is also home to one of Orlando Health's three Air Care Team helicopter bases, allowing critical patients to be transferred to Orlando Regional Medical Center's Level I Trauma Center. South Seminole Hospital is home to Orlando Health Behavioral Healthcare, an 80-bed psychiatric hospital. Patients suffering from mental and addictive disorders, such as major depressive disorders, depression and bipolar disorder to schizophrenia, as well as addictive behaviors stemming from drug and alcohol use, are treated at this facility. The facility has three adult units, a unit for adolescents and children, and a unit for adults requiring an intensive level of care.

The cancer facility at South Seminole Hospital is home to many talented physicians who specialize in a variety of areas, including medical oncology and surgical oncology. Our multidisciplinary team of oncologists, pathologists, registered nurses and medical assistants will work with you every step of the way.

Emergency Care

The emergency room at South Seminole Hospital provides emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our physicians use telemedicine in some emergency cases to communicate with physicians at other healthcare facilities. Our staff is dedicated to delivering the best care possible during your most immediate time of need.

Heart and Vascular Care

The Cardiovascular Imaging Center at South Seminole Hospital is a state-of-the-art center with the latest vascular technology. Services include both invasive and noninvasive procedures provided by board certified radiologists and cardiologists. Our team includes experts in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of heart disease.

Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

Our staff of orthopedic physicians and surgeons is committed to the treatment and prevention of physical injuries in all patients. We are dedicated to furthering our orthopedic knowledge through research as well as to the teaching of medical students and orthopedic residents.

Outpatient Services
