Program

The Postgraduate PA Surgery Trauma Fellowship is 12-months of clinical practice-based experience along with didactic learning in various surgical specialties as well as the care of the trauma patient from their first encounter in the Emergency department through their continuum of care in the ICU, hospital floor and eventual discharge. The fellowship rotations may include:

• Clinical: Monthly Rotations (12)

  • General Surgery: Inpatient and Outpatient

  • Trauma

  • Surgical Critical Care

  • Neurosurgery

  • Vascular Surgery

  • Thoracic Surgery

  • Burn Service: Inpatient and Outpatient

  • Plastics

  • Pediatrics

  • Urology

  • Hepatobiliary

  • Head and Neck Surgical Oncology

• Didactic:

  • Simulation Labs

  • Basic Science Lectures

  • Multidisciplinary Planning Cancer Conferences

  • Self-guided learning

  • Surgical Conferences

  • Journal Club

Participants will have monthly clinical rotations and didactic lectures during their fellowship with Orlando Health.
