Application Process
The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers an ACGME accredited training program with (8) PGY residents in each year of the 4-year of clinical training. We anticipate that each of the residents who originally match our program will complete the program, however, progression from year to year is dependent upon satisfaction of the academic and professional achievement.
Application Criteria
Our department participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for (8) PGY-1 Positions. All applications must be submitted electronically through ResidencyCAS. Any applications submitted must be completed in full for consideration and review. A complete electronic application includes:
- ResidencyCAS Application
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) (generated through ResidencyCAS)
- Medical School Transcript
- Dean’s Letter
- Personal Statement
- Letters of recommendation (Minimum of 2 - One letter should be from an Ob/GYN Faculty Member)
Applicants must have a completed and successfully passed Step 1 & 2 or equivalent COMPLEX. The USMLE/COMPLEX scores for step 1 and 2 (MK) are accepted electronically through ResidencyCAS only.
All interviews for will be done virtually. Once selected for an interview, we will do our best to accommodate request for interview dates. Requests will be issued on a first come first serve basis. Interviews will be offered during the months of October, November and December. The application process for International Medical Graduates - Foreign medical graduates are welcome to submit their application for review and consideration following the same application requirements as those for the U.S. medical graduate applicants.
In addition, prior to applying for residency, one must be ECFMG certified. Typically, there is an optional “Social Gathering with Residents” the week of the interviews in the evening to allow the applicants and residents interact virtually.
