“One of the greatest benefits of being a part of the Orlando Health Network (OHN) is the unwavering support given to providers. We all share the same commitment to provide the best care for our patients, while working to improve access to care, reduce costs and lower the number of avoidable emergency department visits. As the landscape of healthcare continues to change, OHN strives to create quality and risk-focused programs that allow access to advanced technologies to better care for our patients. As providers, we can use these tools to gain clinical insights and coordinate care for our patients, while improving clinical outcomes.”

“Being a member of a clinically integrated network, such as the Orlando Health Network, holds significant importance for me as a healthcare provider. Firstly, it promotes a patient-centered approach to healthcare by facilitating care coordination across various specialties and care settings. By collaborating within a network, providers can streamline communication, share medical information and work together to offer comprehensive treatment plans, resulting in improved patient outcomes. Working as a pediatric nurse practitioner at Orlando Health presents the opportunity to impact the lives of children, build relationships with families, deliver holistic care, collaborate with a diverse healthcare team, foster professional growth and make a positive difference in the community.”

“Being a part of the Orlando Health Network (OHN) allows me to focus on my patients and collaborate with leaders in the industry to improve processes and quality of care. OHN truly believes in providing the highest level of care for patients, and it is a privilege to be a part of this network. Together, we are focused on improving efficiencies to lessen overall workload, which in turn creates improved work-life balance for all. It is rare to find a health system that strategically and consciously integrates patient and provider-focused care. Patients always come first, and the network understands the importance of my role as a primary care provider and prioritizes the support I need. It is easy to communicate with other providers and specialists within the network at any time, which helps me stay abreast of the latest care provided to my patients. This also allows me to easily expedite care when needed or assist with transitions of care from the hospital to home in an effort to improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions. I feel lucky to be a member of such a genuinely caring group.”

The clinically integrated network has provided me with the necessary tools to easily access information about my patients, allowing me to provide them with exceptional care. I am honored to be a part of the network as it encourages our community of physicians to focus on quality care delivery for our patients.”

“The shift from volume to value in healthcare is not expected to slow down, and the need for collaboration with medical specialists and continuing care providers is more evident than ever. Orlando Health Network (OHN) has created the framework for a true team-based care delivery model by providing resources that allow me to tailor care plans according to the needs of my patients. OHN’s continuous support through care coordination and quality initiatives has helped me navigate the evolving healthcare landscape, and I am grateful for the opportunity to partner with my fellow network providers.”

“Orlando Health Network (OHN) has shown me that a partnership can be one of mutual compassion and dedication, and that together, we can achieve our goals of providing the best possible care to patients. The OHN team prioritizes the patient-provider relationship, allowing me to continue my commitment to making a difference in patient lives. These efforts make it easy to connect my patients with the right providers and resources, at the right time. I am proud to be a part of a network that shares the same mission in serving our patients.”

“As an independent primary care physician, being part of OHN has meant access to a great support system. Joining OHN has given me a platform to connect with other physicians in the area, build a relationship with various specialists in the region and thus, offer better care to our patients. “My membership also has helped me stay up to date with day-to-day changes in the field of medicine and aided in implementing these in my practice. “Finally, the support offered by OHN in times of the COVID pandemic has been immensely helpful. They have helped keep us all informed, updated and involved.”

“The OHN team is composed of highly dedicated and innovative leaders and team members to help us navigate an ever-changing landscape in primary care. Being a member and leader within primary care, I see the support they are able to provide clinicians via easy-to-use analytics, education and clinical care management. OHN serves as a partner to ensure negotiations with payers are optimized and reimbursement reflects the high-quality clinical work we provide to the community. It is critically important to be part of a clinically integrated network (CIN), as it allows for one to maintain your own practice and independence, but still have the benefits of large group negotiating power. OHN, unlike other CINs, has been a staple within our community for nearly a decade and their only focus is to improve the care of our community, in partnership with Orlando Health. OHN believes in working as a team with us, which makes our clinicians feel comfortable and assured that they are working with a reliable and dedicated partner.”

“Having served on the Board of Directors, I am proud of the work OHN is doing to improve quality of care for our patients. I find great value in the pediatric vaccination initiatives to bring school-aged students up to date on their vaccines during the pandemic. Initiatives like these provide better care for our pediatric patients in an effort to keep them healthy and feeling well. As the needs of healthcare are ever-changing, I have found consistency in the support and resources made available to my practice by OHN, including updated performance reports and the ability to participate in new value-based care arrangements and stay on top of changes and trends in healthcare. The OHN team helps my practice navigate the continuously changing healthcare landscape.”

“Some of the key benefits to joining OHN have been the ability to extend our reach more broadly to the surrounding community and the ability to provide service to more individuals. “As a clinically integrated network member, I have become PCMH certified and have a wealth of knowledge and resources at my disposal, increasing my ability to provide value-based care. “The OHN representatives give physicians a voice and provide support in so many ways.”

“One of the greatest benefits of OHN has been the support and guidance for both physicians and staff to ensure our patients are getting the best care at the best price. Too often, we forget our patients are consumers within the healthcare system, and it becomes our duty as providers to ensure they are receiving the same care we would want for our loved ones. “This leads to the idea that the most important thing about being in the network is that you can offer your patients the best high-quality, low-cost providers in the region who are all working toward the same value-based goals.”

“I can describe OHN in two simple words: Patient First. OHN’s patient-first mentality differentiates them from other network models that tend to shift care into delivery models that actually serve to increase costs. “As an independent practice, our group has been able to evaluate multiple clinical networks, and OHN has clearly differentiated itself. OHN has been consistent with clear communication, investment in frontline clinical support and tools, competitive value-based contracting, and the creation of opportunities to deliver high quality clinical care since inception. They understand how primary care drives great patient outcomes and, more broadly, improves community health. Providers benefit from OHN’s well-managed clinically integrated network as they are able to both remove barriers and provide resources allowing our providers to have more meaningful patient interactions. “OHN uniquely provides resources and opportunities for clinicians to be a voice of change as we strive to improve care for our payer partners, employers and, most importantly, our patients. In the past decade of partnering with OHN, and much longer with the Orlando Health hospital system, I have found all levels of the organization have truly embraced a patient first culture and extended it to their community partners through the resources they offer.”

Many available resources have aided my staff and me in our strides toward improving the quality of care we provide to our patients. I am glad that as a part of a clinically integrated network backed by a large health system, I am always equipped with the latest technological advancements, performance reporting insights and other tools. With this support, I can stay apprised and involved in the overall goal of providing value-based care every day.”

“Working with Orlando Health Network has been a great experience for me. As part of an independent, small family practice office, this opportunity has allowed me to get up-to-date information about best practice policies and procedures that are essential to ensure we are current with the ever-evolving demands and requirements of our healthcare environment. As a member of the network’s Quality Committee, I am engaged on the front lines of process implementation and policy review to ensure we, as a network, provide the best quality of care for our patients, while also trying to make a positive impact in overall healthcare costs.”

“Being a member of OHN is so rewarding. For our patients, we know that they will receive the best care possible. And, for our aligned providers, both in large and small practices, they are rewarded for their efforts with fantastic contract opportunities and incentives for outstanding performance. “Orlando Health Physician Associates was the first group to join OHN seven years ago, and I have been able to witness the growth of the network since its inception. As both a practicing physician in the network and as a current board member, I am so proud to have seen OHN grow to become one of the most successful CINs in the United States in such a short period of time.”

“In our current healthcare environment employers are looking for organizations that can deliver high quality medical care without the high cost. Being a part of the Orlando Health Network allows me to offer patients the personal touch of a small practice with the resources of a large hospital system. Orlando Health recently adopted a new universal EMR system, Epic, that connects my practice with all of the specialists and hospitals within Orlando Health. I now have a powerful tool at my fingertips that will assist my practice in providing better care to our patients and allow my patients to take a more active role in their healthcare.”

“As a child growing up in Winter Garden, I had two primary care doctors whom I admired very much. In fact, because of them, I always had the desire to be ‘someone’s doctor.’ Today, as a practicing physician, my greatest satisfaction comes from shepherding a long-term patient through a difficult medical situation, such as a major surgery or new diagnosis. The Orlando Health system provides me with the facilities to practice the best medicine possible. More importantly, it gives my patients access to world-class health facilities.”

“I am grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of the Orlando Health Network (OHN). Being a part of this organization has made it possible for me to see the patients that work at Walt Disney World again as well as have the opportunity to see other new patients in other health plans that are a part of the Network. I have also benefitted from the time that the OHN staff has taken to explain to me how the insurance companies are compiling and using my outcomes data so that I can strive to improve my practice. I feel that in this era of healthcare it is important to be a member of a clinically integrated network because being in such a group gives an independent doctor the information that he or she needs in order to be competitive in today’s market. The commercial insurance companies do not compile and use data in the exact same way that Medicare does, so even if a doctor is a part of a Medicare ACO, it is still beneficial to that physician to be a part of a clinically integrated network, too. In my interactions with OHN, I have found the personnel to be organized, easily accessible, and very professional and approachable.”

“As we all strive to deliver the highest quality of healthcare, what better way to achieve our goals but with a network of physicians sharing the same philosophy? Together, we rely on each other’s expertise to serve our patients and their families while reducing the cost of care and improving outcomes. All patients expect and deserve to be treated with compassion, respect and professionalism, and I am proud to be part of this team that exemplifies that.”

“Being a member of the Orlando Health Network has allowed me to learn about the ways that clinical collaboration can be helpful to improve quality outcomes. OHN continues to offer new technological advancements that have allowed my practice to see important information at the point of care that show opportunities to close care gaps and capture all relevant diagnoses, which improves risk scores. These efficiencies help me offer better care to our patients, which is our top priority. I am grateful for their continued support and the opportunity to work together for the benefit of our patients.”

“Being a part of the Orlando Health Network (OHN) has provided me with a robust team of professionals that support me and my practice in providing the best care to my patients. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work together with the network to define quality-focused and innovative new programs that help us achieve our common goals and enable us to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time for all of our patients. As a part of OHN, I feel as though my feedback is valued and that I am a respected partner in the group. We work collaboratively to navigate through all of the challenges that the changing healthcare landscape brings to professionals.”

Having the reliable support of OHN is a benefit that we value as an independent pediatric practice. In the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, we received their support to fit our providers with N95 masks and assist our administration with provision of information on locations to purchase personal protective equipment when it was difficult to find. OHN went above and beyond in providing weekly updates and webinars for information regarding the pandemic. “Being a member physician of OHN is important not only because they are a great resource for providers, but also because it is a way for providers to be held accountable for providing the highest quality of care. OHN is constantly finding ways to improve access to care and to put patients first, while collaboratively working together with community providers. They hold practices to a high standard, and providers who are in the network should feel proud to be recognized for this high-quality level of care. It is a privilege to be a part of OHN and what they represent — excellence and innovation.”

“Having data-based feedback on our practice has been a great mirror for seeing ourselves more clearly. It has helped us identify areas for improvement as well as validate current workflows that are making a difference. Additionally, it has been a great way to learn about and participate in the trend toward models of value-based reimbursement. As an independent practice, it can be easy to feel like one is on an island and having to create all of your own connections to the larger medical community in the area. Being a part of Orlando Health Network (OHN) has improved these connections and communications. Also, as everyone is aware, improving healthcare outcomes while simultaneously lowering costs is something for which we as physicians must accept some responsibility. Involvement in a clinically integrated network is good mechanism for doing so. The OHN administrative team has been so good about initiating regular meetings to show us how we are doing and has done so in a way that is very easy to understand. This data could be fairly complex, but they have made it really accessible. I actually look forward to the quarterly meetings and find them so informative.”

“The Orlando Health Network reports have provided me with insights, which I would have never known before, regarding my performance as a physician in managing cost of care and ensuring we close preventive care gaps. The clinically integrated network has opened up so many possibilities, including the ability to earn new insurance contracts that I, as an independent medical practice, would never have access to alone.”

“I have had the pleasure of being with the Orlando Health family for the last 11 years. I started as a pediatric resident in 2008 and stayed on as faculty after graduation. I have been on both sides of the spectrum as a patient and a physician. I had both of my children at Winnie Palmer and it was a great experience. When I transitioned to private practice and out of the academic setting, I remained with Orlando Health. I worked with the ER, subspecialists and inpatient team to coordinate patient-centered care from the community setting. Just two years ago, I came back to Orlando Health full-time as part of the Physician Associates family. I could not imagine working anywhere else or having my patients and family cared for anywhere else.”

“In today’s world, medicine no longer functions in silos. We all work in partnership to deliver care to our community and the individual. If we view medicine as a financial endeavor, we only distance ourselves from care delivery and our collective network aims. In that regard, Orlando Health Network (OHN) has helped offer coordinated care to improve quality and is working to address costs without adversely affecting those providing the care. While I have been working with OHN since 2014, I have served the broader community with Orlando Health for more than 20 years. I can say that the work we have been able to accomplish with the network has helped us better advocate for patients, assist us in meeting healthcare’s ever-growing demands, and opened many doors that would have otherwise been shut.”

“Joining the Orlando Health Network has had many benefits, including a platform to collaborate with other providers in the network, allowing physicians to jointly share experiences and work toward improving quality of care. The reports that I receive have helped my practice support national best practices to reduce advanced imaging services. As a previous board member, I am honored to be a part of a network that gives physicians a voice and is focused on working together to improve quality of care for our patients. I am grateful for OHN’s support and the information and knowledge they continue to share during the current state of healthcare, at the forefront of the pandemic. “The past two years have been a trying time, both in healthcare and our everyday lives, but it has been comforting to know that I am part of a network of physicians who have shared in the same experience. Being a member of the Orlando Health Network has allowed me to connect with other physicians to improve patient encounters and quality of care. The network resources available to my practice have allowed me to improve the management of my patients and has included well-coordinated partnerships with cardiology for sports screenings, and timely updates regarding the evolution of COVID disease management from infectious disease specialists. All of these programs benefit our mutual patients in the clinically integrated network.”

“From early adolescence, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. I loved the sciences and felt called to help others. My own pediatrician made an indelible impression on me, and my experiences through medical school and training confirmed my desire to be a pediatrician. I was born at Orange Memorial Hospital, now Orlando Regional Medical Center. I did my residency at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and continue to rely on their wonderful community of physicians to refer my patients for specialty care. I know their commitment to quality care.”

“Being able to join a reputable organization like Orlando Health has been incredibly rewarding, and I find working with physicians that have chosen to become part of a long-time family inspiring. I believe it is important to be part of the Orlando Health Network because we as physicians serve an important role in achieving a better patient experience, improved population health outcomes and lower healthcare costs. I joined OHN immediately following residency and it has been the best choice I have made. To many physicians, like myself, the administrative work involved in being a physician can seem almost irredeemably complex, but the OHN team does a wonderful job of simplifying the information for busy physicians and supporting us with any assistance we might need, hence allowing us to focus on patient care.”

Being a member of OHN is a huge benefit to both me and my patients. This partnership not only helps me provide the best possible experience for my patients but also eliminates redundancies in healthcare, such as repeated tests and imaging and unnecessary medical costs. With an integrated system of healthcare providers, and electronic medical records, I can see the entire patient care experience and easily collaborate with the patient’s other healthcare providers. Together, we can manage every aspect of care from routine screenings to complex multispecialty care cases to provide all encompassing, compassionate and quality care.”
