Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) are conditions where your joints stretch more than normal. People with these conditions are at risk of injury because their joints are too flexible. At Orlando Health Outpatient Rehabilitation, we provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients with EDS and HSD. These chronic conditions can affect many different systems in your body and we have the specialists to help.
People who have hypermobile EDS/HSD may be at risk for other medical problems, such as abdominal cramping, bloating, loose stools or constipation, anxiety bladder problems, chronic pain, dizziness when standing, easy bruising, feeling tired, joint problems such as arthritis and dislocation, and problems with skin healing (scars).
