  • Objective

    Primary Objective
    Examine the change in FLIP findings (distensibility and diameter) from active EoE disease to later follow up and compare that between different therapies.
     
    Secondary Objectives
    Examine the change in markers of fibrosis from active EoE disease to later follow up and compare that between different therapies.
    Compare FLIP findings and markers of fibrosis between EoE patients and controls.

  • Key Eligibility

    Inclusion Criteria
    Patients aged 1 - 22 years, with suspected new diagnosis of EoE based on clinical evaluation, or confirmed EoE, who are undergoing the standard of care evaluation including EGD and FLIP.
     
    Exclusion Criteria
    - Inability to give consent.
    - Patients with esophageal atresia.
    - Known hypereosinophilia syndrome.
    - Previous esophageal surgeries.
    - Subjects who are not required to obtain esophageal biopsies or FLIP as part of standard of care.
