Hermes G. Garcia, MD, is a neurosurgeon in practice with Orlando Health Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Institute Neurosurgery Group.

Dr. Garcia earned both his bachelor of science in biology and his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico, graduating magna cum laude. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico. He went on to fulfill a skull base and cerebrovascular surgery fellowship at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle, and a minimally invasive endoscopic skull base surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia.

Dr. Garcia is a member of the North American Skull Base Society. He has published book chapters in cranial base surgery as well as manuscripts in numerous peer-reviewed journals including The Journal of Neurological Surgery, International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology, The Journal of Neuroscience, and The Journal of Molecular Neuroscience. He has also presented his research in national meetings of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Skull Base Society.

In addition to English, Dr. Garcia is fluent in Spanish.
