Ryan Bisson is a board-certified genetic counselor (CGC) with Orlando Health Cancer Institute. He analyzes patients’ personal history, family history and genetic test results to estimate their risk of developing cancer and to create a personalized medical management plan. His expertise includes:

  • Genetic risk assessment
  • Educating patients about genetic disorders
  • Coordinating genetic testing
  • Interpreting test results
  • Creating management plans for patients

Ryans Training

Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree in molecular genetics at The Ohio State University in Columbus and received his master’s degree in genetics from the Genetic Counseling Training Program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

About Ryan

Ryan is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counselors and is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors. He has been instrumental in expanding the genetic counseling clinic and developing the Cancer Genetics and High Risk Care Center.

Ryan’s research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, and he has delivered presentations on genetics and cancer.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his dog, sports and traveling.
