Bio
Dr. Sarah Young is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist physician at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. With her expertise in cancer and blood physiology, she treats blood cancers and diseases as well as other cancers, including:
- Leukemia
- Lymphoma
- Myeloma
- Hemophilia
- Sickle cell disease
- Clotting disorders
- Prostate cancer
- Kidney cancer
- Bladder cancer
- Testicular cancer
Dr. Young believes in providing individualized treatment based on each patient’s unique needs, with an emphasis on compassionate care.
Dr. Young’s Training
Dr. Young earned her medical degree from Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke. She completed an internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and a hematology and oncology fellowship at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute, where she was the chief fellow during her final year.
About Dr. Young
Dr. Young is board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also affiliated with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and American College of Physicians. Her research topics include prostate cancer, renal cell carcinoma and cancer stem cell biology.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, swimming and spending time with her family.
