Shelbie has cared for patients in Central Florida since 2012. Her healthcare philosophy is to treat every patient as if they are a close friend or family member, and to always include them in the decision-making process for disease management.

Shelbie’s Training

Shelbie earned her master's degree in nursing from ECPI University’s College of Nursing in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of West Florida in Pensacola and an associate degree in nursing at Valencia College in Orlando.

Shelbie's passion for reading includes delving into academic journals and clinical trial publications, including continued medical education courses on topics such as spinal trauma, bodily injury, neurodiagnostics and radiology.

About Shelbie

Shelbie is certified as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She also holds RN and APRN licenses from the Florida Department of Health and a controlled substance and regulated chemical certification from the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Shelbie credits the pursuit of her healthcare career to high school, when she became her mother’s caregiver after a multiple sclerosis diagnosis.

Outside of work, Shelbie enjoys taking spin classes. She believes exercising keeps her mentally and physically able to provide the best care for her patients, as well as to encourage them to do the same with their activity level and eating habits.

Shelbie also likes to hike, travel and spend time with her husband and daughter.
