Bio
Tabitha Bruinsma is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) with the Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. She cares for patients with memory disorders and has experience with:
- Outpatient care
- General neurology
- Inpatient psychiatric care
With 17 years of experience as a nurse, Tabitha believes in caring for her patients as if they were family, and she strives to provide them with the best treatment.
Tabitha’s Training
Tabitha earned an associate degree in emergency medical services at Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida, and an associate in nursing at Lake-Sumter State College in Leesburg, Florida. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing, with a concentration in family nurse practitioner studies, at Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
About Tabitha
Tabitha is certified as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. As a nurse at Orlando Health, she has cared for patients in the cardiology, neonatal ICU, interventional radiology and ambulatory care center surgery departments.
Outside of work, Tabitha enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons and family pets, cooking, traveling, watching hockey and NASCAR races, and playing the cello.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
