Tracy Nogle, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician with additional board certification in sports medicine with Orlando Health Physician Associates Family Medicine. She specializes in sports medicine, but also provides a full range of family care, including wellness checks, treatment for routine illnesses and injuries, management of acute and chronic disorders and diseases, and behavioral health needs such as anxiety and depression.

Comprehensive Family Medicine

As a partner on every patient’s health journey, Dr. Nogle approaches comprehensive family medicine as an opportunity to help patients achieve their highest possible level of health through the benefit of preventative care, wellness checks, and health education regarding positive lifestyle changes and choices.

For those with chronic or acute conditions such as obesity, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and diabetes, she helps them monitor their condition and access the most advanced treatments and therapies to improve or maintain health.

Preventative Care

A focus on preventative care is important to Dr. Nogle, as she is dedicated to providing a lifetime of care for the whole family. She counsels patients on a wide range of lifestyle choices and works with them to set reasonable long-term health goals while she offers her encouragement every step of the way.

For patients with conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, she partners with them to assess and monitor their health with the goal of maintaining the healthiest quality of life possible. With proven, medically-based information and guidance, she helps these patients take an active, ongoing role in their wellness.

Pediatric Care

Integral to Dr. Nogle’s approach to pediatrics is her belief each child deserves quality, attentive pediatric care. Her knowledgeable experience enables her to thoroughly assess and monitor child development and common pediatric behavioral and school issues. She guides children and their families towards healthy lifestyle behaviors and choices and coordinates specialty care when needed. A few of the services she provides include:

  • Well child care from birth through adolescence
  • Well baby checkups and immunizations
  • Minor lacerations and injuries
  • School and sports physicals

Adolescent Health

As they begin to experience physical and psychosocial developmental changes, adolescents have unique needs during this stage of life. Dr. Nogle is available for routine care like well visits and sports physicals plus the more complex medical and emotional issues of this age group such as eating disorders, mental health, reproductive health, and gynecological needs and disorders.

Women’s Health

Despite the busy schedules many women have, Dr. Nogle encourages them to make time for their health with routine screenings and exams. An annual well woman visit includes a gynecological and breast exam along with general health screenings for high blood pressure, body mass index, and a review of personal and family health history. Based on these results, she helps patients address their ongoing well-being or health concerns with a treatment plan or schedule based on age, risk factors, and health and family history.

Men’s Health

As they tend to put off or avoid regular check-ups with their family medicine physician, many men inadvertently endanger their health. These delays may be harmful because early detection and treatment of heart disease, cancer and other diseases usually lead to better outcomes.

With a healthy lifestyle and regular screenings, men may reduce their risk for heart disease, certain cancers and other illnesses. Dr. Nogle can help male patients take better care of themselves and will recommend appropriate health screenings based on age, personal risk factors and family medical history.

Senior Care

Patients 65 years and older may begin to experience some of the conditions often found in this age group, which require knowledgeable senior care. A few of these include heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and osteoporosis. From those with a single condition to those with multiple ones, Dr. Nogle can guide them toward the best possible treatments and therapies.

Primary Care Sports Medicine

Dr. Nogle provides primary care sports medicine to active children, adolescents and adults. Using non-surgical methods, she treats those with injuries such as fractures, muscle strain, knee and shoulder injuries and more. She also cares for those with common overuse injuries like tendinitis and stress fractures. Once she has evaluated the severity of a patient’s injury, she develops a personalized treatment plan to help return them to mobility and an active lifestyle.

Osteopathic Medicine

As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Nogle has received special training about the musculoskeletal system, the body’s network of nerves, muscles and bones, and how the system interconnects and relates to the body’s other systems and overall health.

As part of her approach, she carefully accounts for the many aspects of a patient’s life such as environment, lifestyle, stress, nutrition, fitness and other medical problems. With this broad view, she is able to look at whole-body health, not just symptoms, to uncover and address all factors contributing to a patient’s injury or illness.

Dr. Nogle’s Training

Dr. Nogle earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. Her degree was followed by a residency with the AdventHealth East Orlando Family Medicine Residency Program and a sports medicine fellowship at Michigan State University. During her residency, she served as chief resident.
