Dr. Tracy Zito is a board-certified trauma and general surgeon with Orlando Health Medical Group Surgery. She is committed to helping patients return to health and reclaim their best possible quality of life and focuses on quality care throughout all stages of the surgical process.
She specializes in the treatment of critically ill and injured patients at the Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center Level One Trauma Center in downtown Orlando, the only Level One Trauma Center in Central Florida. Dr. Zito serves as the Trauma Center medical director and cares for patients in need of minimally invasive and traditional surgeries.
Dr. Zito’s Training
Dr. Zito earned her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She completed her residency in general surgery at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York City. Her fellowship in traumatology and surgical critical care was performed at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

She is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. Her professional memberships include the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma and Society for Critical Care Medicine.
She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
As a member of the U.S. Navy, Dr. Zito spent 11 years as a trauma/critical care and general surgeon and was honorably discharged at the rank of commander. Her deployments include Operation Brightstar in Egypt, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq.
