Pelvic Floor/Incontinence Treatments

The Pelvic Floor/Incontinence team treats patients who are experiencing incontinence and/or conditions impacting the pelvic floor, the muscles that attach the abdomen to the pelvis and provide control over bladder and bowel function. Many treatments are minimally invasive. Procedures include:

  • Anterior colporrhaphy to restore the bladder to its normal position
  • Posterior colporrhaphy to put the rectum back to its normal position
  • Suburethral sling to offer relief from incontinence. The “sling” is positioned to support the mid-urethra
  • Bulking agents injected around the urethra to help decrease urinary incontinence
  • Sacral nerve stimulation to treat bladder and bowel control
  • Intravesical Botox® to treat incontinence or lessen urinary urgency
