Orlando Health awarded top certifications for digital health excellence
Orlando, FL (October 26, 2021) – Orlando Health has been awarded two level 8 certifications for digital health by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). The honors are in the acute care and ambulatory care settings. Orlando Health’s level 8 designations are a result of the organization having deployed technologies and strategies to help analyze data, achieved meaningful clinical and efficiency outcomes and introduced advanced technologies, like telehealth, to expand access to care. With the level 8 certifications, Orlando Health is designated a ‘Most Wired” organization by CHIME.

By virtue of Kim’s warm, nurturing nature and her husband Matt’s love for kids as a teacher, this young couple couldn’t wait to be parents. However, starting a family proved to be a challenge when the couple had trouble getting pregnant. When Kim and Matt finally found out they were expecting a baby boy, they were elated. Determined to monitor Kim and the baby due to the initial trouble conceiving, Kim’s pregnancy was considered high-risk and called for appointments every two weeks at the Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Though Orlando Health Winnie Palmer was quite a distance away from the couple’s home, they felt the extraordinary care was worth each and every trip. Meanwhile, they planned for a birth closer to home in Leesburg to ensure everything was in place on their special day.

Tommy, a loving husband, father and grandfather, lives in Apopka with his wife, Denise. Nearing fifty years of marriage, Tommy and Denise have supported each other throughout much of their lives. I have always really enjoyed being physically active. I used to play racquetball, water ski, snow ski, snowboard. But over time, I couldn’t enjoy those activities anymore because it was just too much for my knee. When it got to the point where I would have to sit out for two days afterward because of the pain, it just wasn’t worth it. I kept lowering the level of my activities.

I Can Walk Wherever I Want and Stand for Long Periods
They had me practice walking on uneven surfaces in the on-site garden, going up and down stairs with a walker, and doing domestic activities like putting dishes away in a staged kitchen that is part of the rehab program facilities. I thought it would take two weeks before I was ready to return home, but it took me just one week because they had prepared me so well.
