He graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a MD degree.     April Merritt, MD, is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and is currently a physician partner with Delaney OB-GYN in Orlando. In addition to providing comprehensive general obstetrical and gynecological care, Dr. Merritt also offers insertion of IUD and Nexplanon®, laparoscopic surgery including hysterectomy, vaginal prolapse surgery, hormone replacement and treatment for pelvic pain.

    Dr. Merritt attended undergraduate school at the College of Charleston, where she majored in biology and did research in organic chemistry. She co-authored over 20 organic chemistry research papers and spoke at many scientific meetings. She then received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed her residency at Orlando Health.

    In addition to numerous published papers in organic chemistry, Dr. Merritt has been recognized for outstanding medical record documentation and is NT ultrasound certified. Her clinical interests include ultrasound medicine and fibroids.

    Dr. Merritt is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
