Aspiring Leaders Attend Leadership Session

Over 120 participants attended what was the first in a new series of leadership lessons developed for team members interested in future leadership opportunities at Orlando Health. This first event, held on October 9 at ORMC, featured a panel of three well-known Orlando Health leaders - Nancy Dinon, vice president Human Resources; Antonio Crespo, MD, chief quality officer, Dr. P. Phillips Hospital; and Jennifer McCarthy, chief operating officer, Dr. P. Phillips Hospital.

The panelists discussed defining moments in their leadership journeys, their values as a leader and what they believed to be the biggest challenges facing leaders today. Participants then had the opportunity to ask the leaders questions.

“I am extremely pleased at the number of team members interested in pursuing a leadership role at Orlando Health,” says Wendy Radeka, director, Talent Management. “We’re very excited about our next event for team members that will be a speed mentoring session. Participants will have the opportunity to receive mentoring nuggets from experienced leaders in the organization in 10-minute increments for a total of five meetings in one hour.”
