Hubbard House Media Statement

The Hubbard House has faithfully served as a home away from home for many thousands of Orlando Health families during its 25-year history. We appreciate the lives that were touched and share in the memories that were made there.

Numerous individuals helped create the warm and caring environment at the Hubbard House. At this point in time though, the structure has outlived its useful life and requires extensive maintenance to continue operating. The house has issues that are typical of a 25-year old wood-frame building in Florida. Future options are being evaluated and we are working closely with Hubbard House families during this transitional time.

The purpose of the Hubbard House will remain and the service it provides will still be available.  Patients and their families will receive privacy, comfort and reduced rates from local hotels arranged through Orlando Health. Financial assistance will continue to be available regardless of ability to pay.
