ORLANDO, Fla. (Monday, June 08, 2015) — In this digital world healthcare is consistently growing in popularity on digital and social media platform. Enter in the Figure 1 app. Developed by doctors in Canada, this app is essentially Instagram for healthcare professionals, allowing clinicians to share photos of cases to gather input and opinions from professionals around the world and also educate medical students and residents.
Dr. Jamin Brahmbhatt, urologic surgeon at South Lake Hospital, in affiliation with Orlando Health, explained how he and his partner Dr. Sijo Parekattil to FOX 35 News how they are using this new app in their practice and to educate future physicians.
Thanks to advance work by the developers of the app, the process adheres to confidentiality measures so to protect the identify of patients and gather all necessary consents prior to clinicians uploading photos.
