Orlando Health earns perfect score in CHIME’s 2024 Digital Health Most Wired Survey

Healthcare systems rated on how technology use improves patient care

Orlando, FL (November 4, 2024) Orlando Health has earned the highest recognition from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), which ranked the healthcare system a Level 10 – a perfect score – in two categories, acute and ambulatory services, in its 2024 Digital Health Most Wired Survey. This is the second consecutive year that Orlando Health has achieved a Level 10 in these categories. CHIME initially recognized the hospital system in 2018 with Level 8, a designation maintained the following years until it earned a Level 9 in 2022. Before then, Orlando Health received the award from the American Hospital Association, which previously administered the survey.

This year, more than 48,000 healthcare facilities were evaluated on how well they applied advanced technologies to improve patient safety and outcomes. Only 26 of these healthcare systems achieved the top honor this year, and Orlando Health is distinguished as the only healthcare system on the list in Central Florida.

“This perfect score reflects the dedication of Orlando Health’s Information Technology/Clinical Engineering department, which is at the forefront of digital advancements used by clinicians and administrators to provide high-quality care to our patients,” said Novlet Mattis, SVP and chief digital and information officer. “We are grateful to be acknowledged two years in a row, having earned Level 10 in both the acute and ambulatory categories. This unique achievement is a testament to the elevated level of services our patients receive under our care.”
