Revenue Management Recognized with Revenue Cycle Award

The Orlando Health Revenue Management team was honored last week at the Healthcare Business Insight (HBI) 2015 Fall Member Retreat at the Champions Gate Resort in Orlando.



Michelle Farrell, interim COO Revenue Management, accepted the award on behalf of the team from Michael Doyle, President HBI. The recognition was specific to the positive trends in bad debt and denials reduction; improvements we have seen this last fiscal year. Orlando Health was recognized alongside their revenue cycle peers at organizations such as Novant Healthcare, Piedmont Healthcare, St. Elizabeth’s Healthcare and Trinity Healthcare.



Leaders from the Patient Accounting team presented their denials management strategy and process to an engaged crowd highlighting their workflow process and success of the team. The Orlando Health Denials Management Unit has realized close to $195M in denial recoveries from its inception in mid-2013, through the collaborative efforts of the team.
