Orlando, FL (October 26, 2021) – Orlando Health has been awarded two level 8 certifications for digital health by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). The honors are in the acute care and ambulatory care settings. Orlando Health’s level 8 designations are a result of the organization having deployed technologies and strategies to help analyze data, achieved meaningful clinical and efficiency outcomes and introduced advanced technologies, like telehealth, to expand access to care. With the level 8 certifications, Orlando Health is designated a ‘Most Wired” organization by CHIME.

In Summer 2013, Rowena was approaching retirement and ready for days full of novels, baking her favorite recipes and volunteering in her community. Orlando, FL (November 12, 2021) – A new hospital with 136 inpatient beds plus 24 Emergency Department beds is coming to the south side of Lakeland that will soon increase access to high-quality health care for residents in the area’s fast-growing neighborhoods and communities. Orlando Health today announced it will begin to develop its Orlando Health Lakeland Highlands Hospital and associated campus on approximately 80 acres it owns south of the Polk Parkway at Lakeland Highlands Road and the Winter Lake Extension Road. Construction will begin in the late spring of 2022 and the new hospital is expected to be open by fall 2024.
