Orlando Health has one of the best disaster preparedness and emergency response systems that I've seen.

You did an outstanding job preparing the organization for the hurricane, buttoning up over 200-plus building locations and ensuring we had enough food, equipment and supplies for our patients and team members.

When Hurricane Irma arrived you dealt with issues that typically come with a strong storm - water intrusions, hospitals relying on generators as the power went out, and tornado warnings. Throughout it all you provided the excellent care the community has come to expect from us; and you did it for 36 hours with a smile on your face. Thank you for continuing to do this as many people are now seeking care post-storm.

I am happy to report that we did not sustain any significant damage during Hurricane Irma and most of Orlando Health will be resuming normal operations tomorrow.
