Dr. James Wu is a board-certified radiologist who uses X-rays and other medical imaging procedures to diagnose and treat patients at Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. He has practiced in Central Florida since 2013. His expertise is in musculoskeletal radiology, which focuses on:
- Bones
- Joints
- Muscles
- The spine
- Soft tissues
Problems can arise in these areas because of sports injuries, accidents, genetics and lifestyle choices.
Dr. Wu’s Training
Dr. Wu earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he also worked as a research technician. Dr. Wu completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. He returned to Durham to complete his fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Wu frequently lectures and contributes to medical journals about musculoskeletal radiology. He also has served as a radiology consultant to local professional and college sports teams, including the Orlando Magic, World Wrestling Entertainment, the University of Central Florida and Rollins College.
An avid sports fan, Dr. Wu enjoys outdoor activities as well as traveling and spending time with his family.
