Bio
Dr. Janice Rivera is a board-certified neurologist with the Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. She treats diseases and injuries to the spine and spinal cord, and her specialties include:
- Neurological disorders
- Strokes
- Movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, restless legs syndrome, Lewy body dementia, corticobasal degeneration, progressive supranuclear palsy and multiple system atrophy
- Migraines
- Multiple sclerosis

- Neuropathy, myopathy and motor neuron disease

Dr. Rivera’s Training
Dr. Rivera earned her bachelor’s degree in gerontology, nutrition science and hearing and language disorders at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She received her medical training at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. Dr. Rivera completed a neurology residency at Texas Tech University in El Paso.

Dr. Rivera is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, CrossFit, volleyball and going to the beach.
