Bio
Dr. Julio Paez is a board-certified pain medicine physician and anesthesiologist with Orlando Health Spine Center, a multidisciplinary collaboration between Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. He integrates holistic and innovative strategies with evidence-based medicine to provide individualized care for patients with complex pain conditions, and his expertise includes:

- Kyphoplasty and vertebral augmentation

- Joint injections and peripheral nerve blocks

Dr. Paez believes in a patient-centered, multidisciplinary approach that treats the whole person rather than just symptoms, incorporating nutrition, movement strategies and lifestyle changes in the treatment plan. His goal is to improve function, restore quality of life and empower patients in their healing journey.
Dr. Paez’s Training
Dr. Paez received his medical training from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. He completed an anesthesiology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa and an interventional and cancer pain medicine fellowship at State University of New York in Buffalo.
About Dr. Paez
Dr. Paez is board certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. His professional memberships include the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Society of Anesthesiology, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Society for Clinical Research Sites.
Dr. Paez has been the primary investigator on dozens of clinical trials for pharmaceutical devices.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, training for endurance sports, exploring nutrition and fitness, swimming, running and weight training.
Dr. Paez is fluent in English and Spanish.
