Vikram Shivkumar, MD, is a neurologist with Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute Neurology Group. He specializes in movement disorders, caring for patients with conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Lewy Body Dementia, essential tremor, dystonia, Tourette syndrome and many more. In addition to caring for patients, he also serves as the Institute’s division director of Movement Disorders.

Dr. Shivkumar’s Training
Dr. Shivkumar earned his medical degree from MGM Medical College and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in India. He then completed his postdoctoral training at the University of Toledo Medical Center with a residency in neurology and fellowship in movement disorders.

He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a member of the American Academy of Neurology and Movement Disorder Society. Dr. Shivkumar also has served as the principal investigator for multiple clinical trials, contributed to three book chapters, and published peer-reviewed articles in medical journals. Additionally, he is a professional reviewer for five medical journals and a frequent speaker at Parkinson’s disease support groups.
