Fracture treatment A fracture is a broken bone. Many fractures can heal without surgery and may require a cast or a splint. Some fractures do require surgery in order to preserve function of the bone or joint. Our surgeons are experts at diagnosing and treating fractures and all have additional training in the management of complex injuries. We are the exclusive trauma team providing orthopedic coverage to Orlando Regional Medical Center, Central Florida’s only Level One Trauma Center.
