The road closures are in anticipation of a number of community events and activities planned to remember the victims and honor the survivors of the Pulse nightclub tragedy. These closures may affect drivers coming to or departing from Orlando Health’s downtown campus. Patients, family members, guests, and team members could be impacted by these closures and should plan ahead to allow sufficient time to arrive at their destinations. The Pulse remembrance events are expected to draw large crowds of pedestrians, which could also affect the flow of traffic in and around the Orlando Health campus. Orlando Health hospitals awarded top grades for patient safety
Orlando, FL (April 12, 2017) – Orlando Health’s Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) and South Seminole Hospital were recently awarded “A” hospital safety grades by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit organization operated by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. Orlando Health’s Health Central Hospital and South Lake Hospital, in affiliation with Orlando Health, were awarded “B” grades. Grades are based on a point system that assigns – then calculates – numerical scores of 30 healthcare measures such as patient experience, training, hospital culture, as well as hospitals’ rates for preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents, and infections. All Orlando Health hospitals scored higher this rating period than the previous October 2016 rating period.
