Orlando, FL (June 3, 2024) –Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies has been recognized as a Maternal Levels of Care verified hospital by The Joint Commission through its collaboration with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and support from the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative. The national verification is awarded to those hospitals who meet comprehensive maternal standards of care based on guidelines established by ACOG that work to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality.

Orlando Health plans additions to downtown Orlando campus
Orlando, FL (January 24, 2019) – Orlando Health has announced plans for two new additions to its downtown Orlando campus. This week, plans for a new building located at 1800 S. Orange Avenue were submitted to City of Orlando’s planning division to begin the review and approval process. The one-story, 6,800 square foot facility will become home to a new Orlando Health Imaging Center. The new site will include state-of-the-art MRI, Open MRI, Radiology, CT Scan, Interventional Radiology and Mammography.

Arnold Palmer Hospital receives $50,000 from St. Baldrick’s Foundation to treat more children with cancer on clinical trials
Orlando, FL (November 13, 2019) – The St. Baldrick’s Foundation awarded Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children with a $50,000 grant to ensure more patients have access to clinical trials. The hospital is one of 25 institutions in the country, and the only one in Florida, to receive funding from the organization and will use these funds to pursue additional research and advancements for cancer care.

Orlando Health expands free education benefit for team members
Orlando, FL (November 10, 2021) – Orlando Health’s popular employee benefit, the Preferred Education Program, has expanded. Effective November 10, Orlando Health and Bayfront Health St. Petersburg team members will be able to pursue an associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or certificate at Lake Sumter State College or St. Petersburg College, without incurring any out-of-pocket costs.
