  • Orlando Health Reimagines South Seminole Hospital Campus as a Healthcare Hub for Longwood

    Longwood, FL (September 15, 2022) – Orlando Health today unveiled plans to reimagine its current Seminole County campus as a healthcare hub in downtown Longwood, anchored by a new free-standing emergency department (FSED).

  • Orlando Health announces plans to build a freestanding emergency room in East Orange County

    Orlando, FL (December 21, 2022) – Today, Orlando Health submitted to the Orange County Development Review Committee a request for a pre-application meeting along with renderings of a new freestanding emergency room (ER) the organization plans to build. The request provides specifications for the new ER, which features an 18,000 square foot facility with a capacity for up to 24 exam rooms, including two resuscitation rooms, a computerized tomography room, a radiology room, and a lab. It will be located at 11898 Lake Underhill Road, on a 5.57-acre site that was previously the location of a motorcycle dealership.

    Clermont, FL (December 8, 2022) – Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, Lake County elected officials and community members celebrated another major milestone in the construction of its new, 95-bed patient tower. The hospital’s 75th anniversary, which was first celebrated earlier this year, was also commemorated during the event with the sealing of a time capsule. Physicians, nurses and team members filled the time capsule with photos, memories about Orlando Heath South Lake and letters to the next generation of healthcare workers.

  • Lakeview Surgery Center opens in Dr. Phillips

    Orlando, FL (April 11, 2022) – As part of its commitment to offer patients access to high-quality healthcare closer to home, the physicians at the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute Gastroenterology – Dr. Phillips now have a new ambulatory surgery center where they provide general gastroenterology outpatient procedures. The Lakeview Surgery Center, an affiliate of Orlando Health, recently opened in the busy Southwest Orlando corridor on the Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital campus.
