Orlando Health recognizes nonagenarian, Betty Anne Staton, as the oldest living “baby” born at Orange General Hospital
Orlando, FL (November 5, 2018) – Ninety-two year old Betty Anne Staton has been selected by Orlando Health as the oldest living Central Florida resident to be born at Orange General Hospital. Mrs. Staton was one of 68 seniors whose name was submitted to the hospital, which conducted a search August 1 – October 15, 2018. The birth years of the participants spanned seven decades. Three, including Mrs. Staton were born in the 1920s, 13 in the 1930s, 25 in the 1940s, 10 in the 1950s, 10 in the 1960s, 5 in the 1970s and 2 in the 1980s.

South Downtown Orlando Roads to be Closed for Pulse Remembrances
Orlando, FL (June 7, 2017) – Several roads in South Downtown Orlando, near the Orlando Health campus, are scheduled to be closed June 10 – June 12. The road closures are in anticipation of a number of community events and activities planned to remember the victims and honor the survivors of the Pulse nightclub tragedy. These closures may affect drivers coming to or departing from Orlando Health’s downtown campus. Patients, family members, guests, and team members could be impacted by these closures and should plan ahead to allow sufficient time to arrive at their destinations. The Pulse remembrance events are expected to draw large crowds of pedestrians, which could also affect the flow of traffic in and around the Orlando Health campus. Road closures as of Friday, June 9 are as follows:

Orlando Health plans additions to downtown Orlando campus
Orlando, FL (January 24, 2019) – Orlando Health has announced plans for two new additions to its downtown Orlando campus. This week, plans for a new building located at 1800 S. Orange Avenue were submitted to City of Orlando’s planning division to begin the review and approval process. The one-story, 6,800 square foot facility will become home to a new Orlando Health Imaging Center. The new site will include state-of-the-art MRI, Open MRI, Radiology, CT Scan, Interventional Radiology and Mammography.
