Arnold Palmer Hospital Emergency Department Turns 10
Orlando, FL (January 30, 2017) – This month, the emergency department at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children celebrates 10 years of helping critically ill and seriously injured patients. Since opening its doors in 2007, nearly 500,000 children have been treated by the department team. With 33 beds, Arnold Palmer Hospital is home to Central Florida’s only pediatric Level I Trauma Center and is one of the busiest children’s emergency departments in the state.

Orlando Health Unveils Renovated Emergency Department At Central Florida’s Only Level One Trauma Center
Orlando, FL (January 24, 2025) – On Friday, Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) unveiled its completely redesigned and renovated emergency department. Orlando Health ORMC is the proud home of Central Florida’s only Level One Trauma Center. This redesign marks the largest renovation and expansion of the downtown hospital’s emergency department in the last 10 years. The $25 million endeavor was fully funded through philanthropy.

Orlando Health ORMC and Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips are home to two of the 94 emergency departments (ED) across the country to receive this year’s Lantern Award. The Lantern Award showcases the emergency departments’ accomplishments in incorporating evidence-based practice and innovation into emergency care. As part of the application, EDs are encouraged to share stories that highlight a commitment to patient care, as well as the well-being of nursing staff. The award serves as a visible symbol of the organization’s commitment to quality, safety and a healthy work environment.

New Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion Unveiled at Osceola’s 2017 State of the County Address
Kissimmee, FL (April 25, 2017) – Osceola County and Tupperware Brands are working in conjunction with Orlando Health to bring a new emergency room and medical pavilion to the community, officials announced today during Osceola’s 2017 State of the County Address. The $32 million, 13-acre project will be located in Osceola County Commissioner Viviana Janer’s district on the northwest corner of Orange Avenue and Osceola Parkway; property that is part of Tupperware Brands’ Osceola Corporate Center.

West Orange Healthcare District and Orlando Health join forces to improve healthcare in West Orange County
Ocoee, FL (March 22, 2016) – The West Orange Healthcare District (the District) and Orlando Health have joined forces to improve and expand healthcare services for West Orange County residents. The $100 million project, $75 million of which is funded by the District, will help transform Health Central Hospital’s current Ocoee location into a destination medical campus and will bring much needed healthcare services to Horizon West.
