• Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute’s two cardiology groups merge

  ORLANDO, Fla. (April 1, 2016) --- Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute’s two cardiology groups have joined to form one of the largest cardiovascular practices in Florida. Mid-Florida Cardiology Specialists and Orlando Heart Center will begin the merger process on April 1, 2016. Named the Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute, the new combined practice consists of 42 physicians, 280 team members and 13 locations throughout Central Florida. • Orlando Health Hospitals Receive “A” Grades From Leapfrog Group

  Orlando, FL (May 27, 2020) – The Leapfrog Group has released its hospital Safety Grades for the Spring 2020 rating period and three Orlando Health hospitals earned A Grades: Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center, Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital, and Orlando Health South Lake Hospital. Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital received a B and Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital received a C.

• Orlando Health to acquire Medical Center Radiology Group

  Orlando, FL (July 20, 2022) – Orlando Health, a non-profit healthcare organization headquartered in Orlando, Fla., today announced it will acquire Medical Center Radiology Group (MCRG), whose board-certified radiologists interpret medical imaging for the healthcare system. • Special program for pulmonary hypertension receives national recognition

(January 14, 2016) --- The Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute’s Pulmonary Hypertension Program recently received accreditation as a Comprehensive Care Center from the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA)’s accreditation program for Pulmonary Hypertension Care Centers. The institute’s program is second in the state and among the first 30 hospitals in nation to receive this accolade.

• Orlando Health earns highest quality rating for heart care and cancer care for the second time

  ORLANDO, Fla. (February 4, 2016) - Orlando Health received its second, consecutive Overall 3 Star Rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons for providing excellent care to patients undergoing bypass surgery and lobectomy for lung cancer.
