  • Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital is Official Milk Depot for Mothers’ Milk Bank of Florida, Inc.

    Lake Mary, FL (October 2, 2025) – Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital becomes the first hospital in Seminole County to become a milk drop depot for the Mothers’ Milk Bank of Florida. Mothers who qualify can donate extra breast milk to help nourish premature and at-risk babies in a safe and controlled milk collection point. Recently, Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital received its first donation of 500 ounces of milk from Nicole Wirth of Sanford.

He completed his general surgery residency at Indiana University and his surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Connecticut/Hartford Hospital. He is board certified in general surgery with added qualifications in surgical critical care.  Dr. Smith’s interests burns, nutrition, critical care and trauma.

    Dr. Cheatham earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed both his general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship at Vanderbilt University. He is board certified in general surgery, with added qualifications in surgical critical care. Dr. Cheatham's research interests include advanced hemodynamic monitoring, shock resuscitation, abdominal compartment syndrome, disaster preparedness, and third-world medicine. He is active in a number of national and international surgical, trauma, and critical care societies. He is the past president of the World Society for Abdominal Compartment Syndrome.
