    Orlando, FL (December 7, 2021) – Five Orlando Health facilities were named as Top Hospitals in the country by the Leapfrog Group today. An independent national organization committed to healthcare quality and patient safety, the Leapfrog Group recognizes hospitals that prioritize healthcare quality for patients by implementing better systems to prevent medication errors, provide higher quality maternity care and lower infection rates. The recognition is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive awards American hospitals can receive. 

  • All Orlando Health hospitals receive top grades for patient safety

    Orlando, FL (October 31, 2017) – Orlando Health’s Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Health Central Hospital, Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), South Seminole Hospital, and South Lake Hospital in affiliation with Orlando Health have all received “A” hospital safety grades by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit organization operated by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits.  Grades are based on a point system that assigns – then calculates – numerical scores of nearly 30 healthcare measures including communication between clinicians and patients, implementation of processes and protocols to promote safe patient care that have been established by the National Quality Forum, and a hospital’s culture.
