Jose E. Sarriera, MD
Jose E. Sarriera, MD, serves as a medical oncologist/ hematologist at Orlando Health Cancer Institute. Dr. Sarriera is board-certified in medical oncology and hematology and is the section leader for myeloma, lymphoma and leukemia cancers.
He received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. Dr. Sarriera fulfilled a medical oncology/hematology fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Dr. Sarriera has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and has a published book chapter on urologic complications. He has received several honors and awards, including the University of Puerto Rico Academic Scholarship Award. He is also involved in several Orlando Health committees, including being a member of the Blood Bank Committee and chairman of the Hematology and Oncology Subcommittee.
Dr. Sarriera is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. -
